PAMIS activities for Learning Disability Week 2021!!
The 10th to the 16th of May is Scottish Commission for Learning Disabilities’ ‘Learning Disability Week 2021′! And this year the theme is relationships.
We have created some events and blogs on this theme that we will be sharing over the week- please see calendar of events at the bottom of this page!
Some of events require to be booked:
Sunday the 16th if all about self-care and among the activities we have running that day will be special session of the story ‘Felix after the rain’ at 3.30pm. – THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED – APOLOGIES FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE
If you would like to join us for this event please book through Maureen at [email protected]
Come along and watch a video of the story, Felix After the Rain. After the video you will have the opportunity to spend a relaxing time creating a friendship tree where you can draw or hang your dreams.
For this you will need paper or card, scissors to cut out your tree if you wish to cut it out. Coloured pencils or paints if you want to colour it or you can glue different textured materials onto your tree if you would prefer to make a textured tree.
You will also need glue or Cellotape. Spending some time creating a tree of dreams is a relaxing and calming way to rest the mind in a busy world. I look forward to spending creative friendship tree time with you all.
Booking essential as we need to send the link onto you in advance.
On Thursday the 13th of May at 10.30am come along and hear all about our Rivers and Shores resource.
It’s packed full of ideas for creating memories of time spent at the river or the sea. We would love to hear your stories of your time at the river too. Why not come long and hear all about some of the river’s stories and maybe we could even create a story together? The River Tatha is a film that accompanies the resource, and you are welcome to watch this beforehand. Bring along your imagination and join us for a fabulous time exploring river stories together.
