Working with our community of people with profound learning and multiple disabilities and their families we have pulled together our version of the wonderful story book You Can by Alexander Strick and Steve Antony. Home (theyoucanbook.com)
Children, young people and adults with PMLD worked with the authors to produce their own version for the International Edinburgh Book Festival in 2021, where they presented alongside the authors at the festival. We then worked with others from our community and their families to produce the I Can If You Can story of what our community can and want to do if we only worked together to make this possible.
PAMIS believe passionately that this provides insights for policy makers, locally and nationally, to develop a Scotland where Everyone Can if we only use all our senses to listen to what we are being told.
