Edinburgh Airport

Scottish airports are not fully accessible to people with complex disabilities as they have no Changing Places toilets.  This means anyone with complex disabilities cannot travel by air from Scotland or visit the airport to collect friends and relatives.

At an Open Day held by Edinburgh airport on Friday  –  ‘Passengers with Reduced Mobility Open Day‘ Matthew Wilson, Access Manager acknowledged this was not acceptable. Matthew said that the airport has future plans to install a fully accessible toilet in the building works that were taking place this year on airside, just past security and there also may be a possibility there would be a Changing Places toilet installed landside as well.   This is really good news, but we need to keep up the pressure to make sure this happens.
