Christmas Cards for 2024!

If you are visiting this site because you have scanned the QR code on the back of our new Christmas card then a huge thank you for supporting PAMIS!

For those of you who don’t know…..

We have the most beautiful Christmas cards available to buy this year in aid of PAMIS. Created by Fife artist Jenna Graham, they depict Santa and his reindeers doing a stint volunteering with our mobile changing places toilet – the pamiloo- outside Kelvingrove museum in Glasgow.

We have printed them in A5 so they are lovely and big and we are selling them in packs of 5 with envelopes for £5. We will be ensuring that they will be at PAMIS events in the lead up to Christmas – please being cash if you would like to buy as we don’t have card facilities at all events.

We asked artist Jenna Graham to tell us more about her artwork:

What was your inspiration for this Christmas image?

This card was designed to celebrate the work PAMIS and their volunteers do with the Pamiloo. The Pamiloo (which is the first Scottish Mobile Changing Places toilet) travels all over the country to events or outside venues to ensure visitors can access a genuinely accessible toilet. This toilet is appropriate for those with complex needs who need specialised equipment and additional space. The card design shows the Pamiloo parked outside the Kelvingrove Museum in Glasgow, with Santa as a volunteer. His sleigh is parked up on the rooftop, and his reindeer are having a well earned break before their they continue on with their deliveries.

Can you walk us through the creative process of creating this artwork? How did it come to life from idea to completion?

My work is made using papercut and collage. I always begin with a line drawing where I map out all the different components of the artwork. I then use this drawing as a template and trace the different shapes needed for each individual object or section. I make my own textured papers which I then cut out using a scalpel. These are stuck together in layers to add depth and I assemble them a bit like a jigsaw. Once I am happy with the layered imagery, I then use coloured pencils to add small final details. In this artwork, I’m particularly pleased with the reindeer!

What motivated you to support this charity by contributing your artwork?

I have been making artwork to support PAMIS for a number of years, as they have been a significant support to my family and sister in particular. While I often make them a Chirstmas card, this is usually sent out digitally, but I hoped by helping them to create a physical card, this could be used to fundraise for some of the amazing work they do.
