Changing Places Toilets Scotland Fund update

Following the recent news that the Changing Places Toilets Scotland Fund will be extended through to 2029 with further investment from the Scottish Government to increase the number of facilities across Scotland, PAMIS are proud to continue providing expert support to organisations who have been successful. We are also supporting Inspiring Scotland, who are delivering the fund on behalf of the Scottish Government. Our role is to ensure quality of work which is an essential component of the fund and PAMIS are reviewing and approving all plans to make sure they meet standards and can ultimately be registered by the Changing Places Toilet Consortium and added to the UK online map of facilities.

An initial 59 organisations were announced in the first tranche in December 2025 with a further 25 recently announced in the second tranche. To see the full list of these organisations please visit the Inspiring Scotland Changing Places Toilets Scotland Fund webpage. A total of 84 organisations have been successful in this first round on funding bringing total confirmed awards to over £7 million.

PAMIS have developed a dedicated Changing Places Toilets Scotland Support Hub to help funded organisations with planning and designing their new Changing Places Toilet facility. The Support Hub contains links to the key documents that will help ensure projects are built to the highest standards and meet the needs of the widest range of users. In order to successfully review, assess and approve plans, PAMIS have created this example room layout document which provides designers with the precise requirements to create a high standard CPT and shows the level of detail and mark up required on plans being submitted for review and assessment.
