PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Fixed term to 31 March 2026
Salary: £28,248 – £31,525 per annum (full-time equivalent), pro-rata to 70% (actual salary: £19,774 – £22,068 per annum).
Hours: 24.5 hours per week (based on a full-time working week of 35 hours).

We are led by the people we support to deliver responsive, inclusive, and innovative projects, research, education, and family support.
We are now offering an exciting opportunity to join our highly skilled team as an Inclusive Leisure and Culture Programme Development Officer to support the development and delivery of the Inclusive Leisure and Culture Programme across the Grampian Region, with a focus on North Aberdeenshire. This role offers the unique opportunity to work directly with people with PMLD, their families, and a wide range of community partners, helping to create and promote inclusive leisure and cultural events.
As a Programme Development Officer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, person-centred activities, collaborating with professionals, and ensuring the active inclusion of people with PMLD in community life

About You
You will be educated to a higher education qualification level in a Health, Social Care or other equivalent Professional Qualification and, or hold the relevant demonstrable knowledge and experience. You will be experienced in delivering accessible and inclusive leisure and cultural experiences. You will have knowledge and experience of disability and, or supporting or working with people with learning disabilities, their families, and carers.

You’ll be highly skilled in developing and maintaining effective relationships with a range of key stakeholders, e.g., family carers, children, young people, and adults with PMLD and others involved in their lives, young people with additional support needs, local cultural communities and services, schools, colleges, and resource centres.

You’ll relish managing a comprehensive workload, being proactive and resourceful, working under pressure, and dealing with complex and delicate situations with the ability to work independently, calmly, and effectively while under pressure.

You’ll be committed to the ongoing development of your own knowledge, practice, and skills.
You will have effective time management and organisational skills when lone working.
This position requires membership in the PVG Scheme.
You will have a full, clean driving licence.
