Apply Now: Changing Places Toilets Scotland Fund

PAMIS is encouraging organisations across Scotland to take advantage of a vital opportunity to make their spaces more inclusive — by applying to the Changing Places Toilets Scotland Fund before the 20th October 2025 deadline. Inspiring Scotland are managing this new Fund and you can visit their website to read FAQs, find out more about the Fund and apply.

Changing Places Toilets are essential for thousands of people with complex disabilities who cannot use standard accessible toilets. These fully equipped, larger spaces offer the dignity, safety, and comfort that everyone deserves — and now, there is funding available to help make them a reality in your community.

Installing a Changing Places Toilet makes your venue truly accessible for disabled people, their families, and carers – ensuring dignity, comfort, and inclusion for all. It opens your doors to more local visitors and tourists, boosts visitor satisfaction and dwell time, and taps into the valuable Purple Pound, helping grow your reputation, footfall, and revenue.

Development Funding Available

If you’re at an early stage in your Changing Places Toilet journey, the CPT Scotland Fund includes dedicated development funding. This is ideal for organisations that need some support to get started and get plans in place.

Important Information for Applicants submitting technical plans

If you are further along with your plans for a CPT and are applying to the Fund you will need to submit your proposed plans and technical drawings for review. Please refer to the application process summary on page 13 of the Fund Guidance Notes if you have technical plans in place for your proposed Changing Places Toilet (CPT) and are submitting an application to the Changing Places Toilets Scotland Fund. Please ensure you submit ALL available technical drawings and plans for your proposed CPT/building. Your submission must include:

Detailed floorplans for the proposed Changing Places Toilet facility which clearly show:

  1. Full dimensions of the room including door widths and ceiling height
  2. Equipment layout plans showing positioning and specification for all equipment along with clear and full dimensions (see example room layout for a Changing Places toilet document on the PAMIS Support Hub for an idea of what level of detailed is required)
  3. Room access routes and the position of the CPT in the overall building
  4.  Any available hoist layout drawings

Please also include all other available plans for the proposed project which may include:

  1. Any available elevation drawings

Providing all relevant and detailed technical drawings at the point of application is essential. Incomplete or missing drawings may delay the assessment process and the awarding of funding.
