Scotland Fund

CPT Scotland Fund

In August 2025, the Scottish Government launched a new £10million Changing Places Toilets Scotland Fund, designed to help Scottish organisations improve access and inclusion for disabled people and their carers by building new Changing Places Toilets across Scotland. These facilities provide the additional space, necessary equipment, safety and dignity that everyone deserves.

The Fund is being managed by Inspiring Scotland.  The deadline for applications has now passed, closing on Monday 20th October 2025. Organisations are due to be notified about the outcome of their application in December. If you have queries relating to the outcome of your application please get in touch with Inspiring Scotland on [email protected]

Important guidance for applicants submitting technical plans

Please refer to the PAMIS Changing Places Toilets “example room layout” planning document below which shows the level of detail and information required on all Changing Places Toilets plans submitted for review by PAMIS.  To support quality assurance and ensure your facility meets the needs of users and achieves the gold standard provision that is central to this Fund, PAMIS are reviewing all plans. Only facilities which meet the required standards can be registered and added to the official Changing Places Toilet Consortium UK interactive map.

CPTS Fund – Example Room Layout Plan

In addition to the CPT room layout plan, please also ensure you submit ALL available technical drawings and plans for your proposed CPT/building. Your submission must include:

Detailed floorplans for the proposed Changing Places Toilet facility which clearly show:

  1. Full dimensions of the room including door widths and ceiling height
  2. Equipment layout plans showing positioning and specification for all equipment along with clear and full dimensions (see “example room layout plan” document above)
  3. Room access routes and the position of the CPT in the overall building – wider site plans.
  4.  Any available hoist layout drawings

Please also include all other available plans for the proposed project which may include:

  1. Any available elevation drawings
  2. Any available proposed site plan drawings
  3. For buildings on multiple levels, please submit any available proposed plans for each level
  4. Any available roof plans

Providing all relevant and detailed technical drawings for review is essential. Incomplete or missing drawings may delay the review process and timely delivery of your project.

We strongly encourage you to work with your architect, supplier, contractor, or project lead to ensure that all relevant documents are included in your submission. You will find a helpful list of Changing Places Toilets specialist suppliers who have a breadth of expertise in planning, designing and recommending the correct equipment for your facility on the PAMIS Support Hub.
