Loretto’s story

Claire and Maureen worked together this week on the final story for the multi sensory story box on we are developing in memory of Loretto. This is the third and final story in a wonderful collection of three traditional stories that we have made accessible to people with profound and multiple learning disability. Much groaning, singing and fun accompanied the process along the way as we wrestled with rhyme, rhythm and repetition and the essence of the story.  We also had a visit from Genie, who has designed a beautiful but practical box for the resource and last week we met with Jane, a wonderful basket weaver, who is creating a traditional creel to carry some of our sensory objects. We will announce our next story and music sharing day soon. We are also excited to share the new Tayberry storytellers logo with you soon too so watch this space.
